my Microsoft Surface book laptop types wrong characters instead of 6 it types 56j this is really annoying, I have almost 3 year old Surface book laptop which is the first in series of this category of laptops by Microsoft and for last 2 days I am having this problem, urgent help wanted, I have tried so many methods including update windows, changing language settings to US English but nothing is working, all keys are working normally but when I type 6 it automatically types 56j now while writing this I have to remove 5 and J manually before and after 6 respectively cos it types 56j

Keyboard typing wrong characters on windows 10

So just now my laptop wouldnt start. So turned off my laptop by pressing the power button and turned it on again. Then all of a sudden, my keyboard starts to type in the wrong character. I am certain that it is not even another language.

Mostly it types the number '6'. About 90% of my keyboard characters type the number '6' when pressed, including CapsLk, Backspace, Space, etc.

I cant even type in my password to sign in to my laptop. I dont know if this is related, but the power button keeps beeping even when the laptop is shut down.

I am using Windows 10 on Lennovo Ideapad 500S.

I just installed win10 on my Alienware17.

When I using the default laptop keyboard, most of the keys doesn't work. Some of the keys type wrong characters. For example, when I type C it comes out Z.

My default trackpad doesn't work as well.

However...

When I connect a USB keyboard and mouse to my laptop, everything goes on well.

So what I can do to fix that? I tried the method on "change language in control panel" and I updated all my drivers to most recent version.
