Windows 10: My monitor brightness flickers and colors are different after DDU driver wipe

Today I wiped my drivers using DDU in save mode and after that installed a new Nvidia driver through GeForce experience on desktop pc. Sadly I didn't create a reset point so that is not an option to fix the problem.In the first wipe, I disabled the option to automatically download manufacturer apps under "advanced system settings -> hardware -> device installation settings". Also, in DDU I enabled the option "prevent downloads of drivers from windows update when windows search for a driver for a device" which can be found in the options menu.After wiping the drivers, rebooting my pc

• Click the Windows logo; then, search for Control Panel.
• Select Hardware and Sound.
• Choose Power Options.
• On the next screen you should see brightness slider at the bottom of the Control Panel window.

Screen Flickers When Brightness is Above 20

• Have you tried using a different monitor if you have any available? Just to check/verify if it's a monitor screen problem or
  incompatible app/display driver problem.
• Did you get any error messages?
• Have you tried updating your driver(s)?

Screen Flickering

Return that card for something else. I've heard of many issues with Asus Direct Cu 7970's. You could try finding a different monitor to see if your monitor is the problem, but I doubt it.

**I though you tried differnet cables. Buy a new cable and try it. Get a Dual Link DVI cable.

Here's a list.

1. Uninstall and reinstall video drivers.

2. Replace cable

3. Try different monitor

4. Try different video card

5. Replace video card.

If you can do any of the steps above, just skip to step #5.
