Windows 10: My monitor HP EliteDisplay E242 is displaying like a 90s monitor after fiddling with...

I was having some trouble displaying through an HDMI, and while switching up some display settings, suddenly the TV I was connected to isn't registering as connected and my actual monitor looks like this. I think I somehow changed the monitor type, but I don't know how and there's no option to change back going to where I changed it before shows no other monitor options this time. There's no drivers to install and nothing is being detected. I also can't find an option to reset display settings.

HDR, or High Dynamic Range, is a video and image processing technique designed to provide richer, more lifelike colors and a wider range of brightness to improve the visual experience. Its main goal is to provide more detail when displaying images or videos in order to make them appear closer to the human eye's perception of the real world.



Therefore, HDR itself does not affect your ability to connect your EliteDisplay E201 monitors to your HP laptop, and if your HP laptop does not have HDR capability, then HDR is not supported on the external display either.

HP Releases the EliteDisplay E221c IPS Monitor

HP has this week introduced a new 'built-for-business' monitor, the EliteDisplay E221c. This model features a 21.5-inch IPS (in-plane switching) panel, an LED backlight, a native resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, a 7 ms (gray-to-gray) response time, a dynamic contrast ratio of 5,000,000:1, VGA, DVI and DisplayPort connectors, and a stand allowing for tilt, swivel, pivot and 150 mm height adjustment.

HP's monitor also comes with built-in (rear firing) speakers, a 720p webcam with dual microphones, and a 2-port USB hub. The EliteDisplay E221c has a three-year warranty and costs $219.
