Windows 10: My monitor screen is suddenly stuck in the wrong resolution win 10, i can't set the setting...

My monitor is lg hdr wfhd, tried updating and uninstalling but nothing happened, it remains to stay the wrong size 1024 x 768, IT WAS FINE that i've brought it after few days till then?? a gaming one.Maybe something wrong with display driver? All it says unknown in the info, i have installed NIVIDA display one which it says "Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. Code 43"I have already updated it, nothing happens again, this is unfair, please kindly help i have struggled a lot, videos doesn't help nor anything.

Windows 10 Update Messed Up my Screen Resolution Settings - Why Were The Correct Settings Kicked Out?

Please re-read my post.

The highest resolution available is 1920 x 1080.

My screens are much higher HD screens. These were correct before the Win 10 Update....which changed these settings.

How do I get the higher settings?

I just discovered that the NVidia [graphics card settings] has a control panel which separates TV Resolutions and Monitor Resolutions.

The latter list is found by scrolling BELOW the TV Resolution lists - there contains another list of the required correct resolution for my HD Monitors.

I have now been able to select 2560 x 1440 - which is perfect.

Resolution is wrong! Different to the one set!

My resolution all of a sudden went wrong! I have 2x LG L204WS monitors, that run at 1680 x 1050 and have done for 2 years! I have a HD4870...

I haven't installed anything new or changed any settings, but when I turned on my computer today the resolution on one ONE monitor is too big (it's off the screen)... It hasn't changed in windows properties and CCC reports the correct resolution... However, I did notice that EDID information is incorrect (reporting max resolution of 1080). I tried turning EDID off and changing the settings, this didn't work.

If I unplug a monitor, the affected screen goes normal... plug it back in, it's messed up.

This did happen about a year ago and I can not remember how I solved it!
