Windows 10: My Monitor screen keeps flickering and I can't seem to fix it

My Monitor that I got 12/25/2023 has had an issue where sometimes the screen will go black for a varied duration of time and flicker for a bit, I'm not sure the issue though, I've tried resetting the drivers updating the drivers, reinstalling the drivers, making sure everything is plugged in properly, and dedicated an outlet to it rather then being in a brick. It has had this issue since I got it and actually occurred three times just while writing this. I'd imagine it's a driver issue but IDK what to do.

Screen Flickering

Return that card for something else. I've heard of many issues with Asus Direct Cu 7970's. You could try finding a different monitor to see if your monitor is the problem, but I doubt it.

**I though you tried differnet cables. Buy a new cable and try it. Get a Dual Link DVI cable.

Here's a list.

1. Uninstall and reinstall video drivers.

2. Replace cable

3. Try different monitor

4. Try different video card

5. Replace video card.

If you can do any of the steps above, just skip to step #5.

 

Monitor Dim and Flickers

I have a new Dell Inspiron 3668 cpu and running it with my old Dell ST2010 I have run the windows "troubleshoot screen flickering in Windows 10" from Windows help. When I go to task Mngr. it still flickers. So, I uninstalled the display driver as suggested
and then ran the "Check for updates". The problem still remains. Any further suggestions?? My next step is to just replace the monitor and assume Windows 10 will not run it!

Method 2:
Changing The Screen Refresh Rate.

1. Right-click on an empty area on your desktop > Click on
   Display settings > On the right-pane, scroll down and click on
   Advanced display settings.
2. Click on the Display adapter properties for Display 1 > In the next window, go to
   Monitor tab > Under Screen refresh rate drop-down menu, try changing the desired Hertz rate.
3. Restart the computer after changing each rate and check if the issue persists.
