    Hello Microsoft...This issue with my monitor sound have been happening for quite some time, even before upgrading my RTX 2060 to RTX 4080, the sound of it work some days and most of it not.I tried updating my drivers and everything says its up to date, even external applications like Driver Booster from Steam.I opened Device Manager and Uninstalled AMD Radeon Graphics, it was installed because my processor is Ryzen 7 7700X.it started working and I thought it was the problem, but after restarting my PC, it stopped working again, while on the Volume Mixer it shows that it is working and sound sh

    I`m sorry I had not noticed that the text on the picture was in spanish. It says that windows has replaced some damaged clusters in "name" file and "directory". Then, at the end "an unspecified error occurred (75736e6a726e6c2e 4f6)".

    I`ll do it and I`ll be updating this thread when I have the report.

    Hi David,

    Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community.

    To assist you better, I suggest you to answer the below questions.

    • When will the sound disable, when playing through main monitor or the extended monitor?
    • Did you try enabling the sound from the sound drivers and check if it helps?
    • Since from when are you facing this issue?
    This issue causes because the monitor automatically takes the HDMI sound as the Default input. Disable and enable the speakers and check if it helps.

    I suggest you to try the below steps and check if it helps.

    • Right click on the volume control and then
      Properties      ,
    • When you connect the HDMI it becomes the default output device, even though it has no speakers.
    • You need to change this back to "Speakers" and set as default.
