  1. My monitor turns off, some time after turning on the computer

My monitor turns off, some time after turning on the computer it depends on what I'm doing, but the PC continues to work. All drivers are up to date, components are not overheating. There are no faults in the monitor, video card, power supply, RAM, as I have replaced these parts in the hope that they are the problem. I don't know what else I should do to fix it, hoping for your help. GTX 1660 Super, AMD Ryzen 5 4500, Gygabite M450 S2H, 2*8GB RAM, Thermaltake RGB 600W. Also, no BSoDs are occurring.

    :)

  2. Computer not automatically turning on monitor

    Hi, LuvaiZ

    Welcome to the Microsoft Community.

Based on your description, I understand that your Windows 10 is not turning on the monitor.

First of all I would suggest you to try to fix this problem by not powering off the monitor and keeping it on:

There is a power switch for the monitor on the side of the monitor. If you turned off the monitor's power switch the last time you shut down the computer. You will need to manually power on the monitor the next time you turn it on. Conversely, if you don't close it. The monitor will light up by itself when you turn on the computer.

You can also try to adjust the monitor's power on mode: enter the monitor's engineering mode and change the auto power option to on. the way to enter the engineering mode varies from brand to brand. You can ask your monitor manufacturer's technical support staff.

If you are sure that there is nothing wrong with your monitor and connecting cables,I recommend trying a clean boot which starts Windows with a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. It can be used to determine whether a background service or program is interfering or causing a problem.

These steps of "clean boot" might look complicated at first glance. However, to avoid any trouble for you, please follow them in order and step-by-step.

Then reinstall the monitor driver, which requires you to contact the monitor device supply vendor.

Wish you solve the trouble soon!

Monitor turns on every other time

    Hi guys,

My first time posting here, it is an honor to join the community!

Anyways onto my problem. My monitor like the question states, only turns on every other time I power on my computer. I have no idea what the problem is, I've reformatted several times now so i know it isn't a driver issue.

When I restart my computer, the monitor stays black but everything is still loading and progressing, just no image. When I shut down properly from within Windows and turn it back on, same problem. However, after I force shut down while the computer is on with the blank monitor and then turn my computer back on, the monitor starts working again. What could be causing this?

Monitor is a Hanns G HH251 25" 1920x1080 (I am plugged into my video card via DVI and it converts to hdmi)
AMD Phenom X4 II 955 BE
    4 GB G-Skill DDR1600 RAM
    Sapphire 4890 1GB Vapor-X
    300GB Velociraptor
    Asus AM3 Mobo
    700 Watt Thermaltake PSU

My monitor turns off, some time after turning on the computer

Monitor wont display after monitor turned off

I recently build a new system and used an old monitor, no problems. I bought a new monitor and If I turn off my monitor and turn it back on it gives me no display and says no signal detected. I am forced to restart computer several times to get image back to the monitor. Once display is on there are no problems as long as I don't turn off the monitor again. I have read there is a bios update but when I go to Gigabyte page they are listed as F3, F13, F42 and F51. How can I determine which F version my card is?

Also I returned monitor and card with the same products thinking it was hardware issue but the problem remains. I have even reinstalled the OS.
