Windows 10: My monitors keeps switching to the wrong monitor

Hi i have tow monitors one is an lcd with dvi going to the graphics card and the other is an old crt one withe vga and i convert it to hdmi and its connected to the graphics card too the main one is the dvi when the system start the main one starts normaly and i can use it with no problem aslo the vga on is working good and no problem but i live in a country where the electricity go out a lote so i need to hibernate my pc but when i restore it from hibernation its start on the dvi but when its arive ate athe login screen its change to the vga one and the dvi one stops working completly and i c

Wrong monitor resolution when using KVM switch


Hi,
When using Win10 with my monitor it correctly sets the resolution to 1360x768.
When I use my KVM switch it changes the resolution to 1024x768 which looks all wrong. I try to manually change the resolution but 1360x768 is not on the list. I have unchecked the "hide modes" in the advanced monitor setting but still no 1360x768.
The other PC connected to the KVM switch is running XP and that works fine on 1360x768 so I know the KVM is capable of using this setting.
How can I fix this?
I was thinking there must be a way of manually setting and locking the resolution or turning of the auto monitor detection.

I did some googling and found a program which looked like it would help but not for the Intel chipset (using on board graphics).

Trouble with 2 monitors

I suggest you to change the settings to Extended Monitor and check if it helps.

Please follow below steps:

• Right Click any ware of the Desktop, and launch Personalization.
• Go to dual monitor settings under personalization, and change it Extended Monitor.

Monitor Primary monitor layout switches upon second monitor power off

Hi alts63,

One of the possible reasons why your primary monitor layout switches is that the rotation lock option is turned on. In order to turn that off and fix the issue, please follow these steps:

1. Press Windows key + A on your keyboard to open Action Center.
2. Click the Expand button.
3. Click the Rotation lock to turn it off.
