    Dear Paul,

    thank you for your reply, just to repeat myself - this is brand new system with Z790 MSI motherboard, i9-13900KF CPU and RTX4090 GPU, no chance to have "old drivers" in my case.

    1. I do have latest Nvidia driver from official website 527.56 (WHQL)

    2. This step doing nothing as #1

    3. Same as #2

    4. I installed driver from Nvidia website

    5. I do have most recent BIOS from MSI website

    no sound plays through internal speakers

    I cannot get any sound to play through the internal speakers of my laptop. It did play previously. The speaker in the task bar has a red and white x and the trouble shooter says no speakers headphones plugged in. When I pull up the info on sound it lists
    its location at HDMI port. Suggestions?

    Have you checked on the MSI website to see if there is any BIOS update available for your Z790 motherboard that may need to be installed?

    In BIOS, is that set to UEFI, not Legacy and is Secure Boot and TPM enabled?
