Windows 10: My mouse cursor randomly freezes when it reaches the right side of the screen

Whenever my mouse cursor hits the right side of my screen it freezes.That is the most consistent way to reproduce it but it also seems to happen at random times too, maybe it is because my mouse intersected with the right side while gaming or something, iv had this problem get worse, iv tried different mice and including mice that didn't use a USB port and it still doesn't seem to work, iv updated drivers, and done so much to try to fix it.Again, regardless of what mouse I use it has this problem

Windows 10 freezes randomly

I had already tried turning off fast startup, to no avail.
Will look at the list you provided, thanks. Hard to do when computer freezes on the Windows loading screen though. *Biggrin

I'm using a Lo***ch mouse with right and left finger "pads" and a scroll wheel.





(I've disguised the company name Lo***ch, because I have no evidence that the problem is caused by that particular brand.)

Move the cursor
Sliding the mouse right or left on the computer desk.

Freezes, Freezing
The cursor doesn't follow the sliding. Or follows it only after a second or two wait.

Sensitivity
The relative ease of putting the cursor on a particular spot on the screen. For example, in a text document, putting the cursor next to the start of a word. Or highlighting text, then right-clicking to, say, copy the text, doesn't "take."; the text may
be highlighted OK, but the copy command doesn't happen.

In a non-text screen, sensitivity means putting the cursor in a specific Icon and clicking.

The freezing is severe in Chrome and WORD. Reducing the number of Chrome sessions seems to help. WORD is severe with as few as 2 documents open. In NOTEPAD files, the freezing is moderate.

I think that sometimes it's just a matter of cpu cycles: if my virus software is doing a scan, it seems to impact this issue.

The problem is a HUGE deterent to my productivity. When you would need, say, 100 highlight-right-click-copy, and you have to try it 200 times, that can mean several minutes. Not to mention the frustration factor, which in my case means sitting for a moment
and calming down.

I made a change to focus assist and power options recently, although I don't think that would have an impact on the issue. See this question,

I will appreciate any suggestions. .

 

Mouse moving randomly to bottom right of screen

I run Windows 10 with a touch screen Acer monitor. For several weeks I've had a problem with the mouse cursor moving to the bottom right of the screen randomly, when I'm not typing, closing down the open window (and occasionally closing the program). The
problem disappeared for a few weeks, then returned, seemingly without any reason as I had not changed software in that period.

This is not a mouse problem as the problem persists with my older wired mouse, and with/without mouse pad, so I assume it's a software issue. Can anyone help?
