Windows 10: My mouse doesnt work I tried everything

I went back to system restore point and i got bootlooped and when i got back my mouse stopped working but keyboard was working fine until i updated drivers. Help I tried everything from updating uninstalling drivers to reset laptop and I reset laptop but it still doesnt work

MS Sculpt Mouse Suddenly Stopped Working.. Help!

I got a Microsoft Sculpt Mouse that has been working for a while. But now the scroll wheel doesnt work. It was working perfectly yesterday. I suspect it to be software related. I tried uninstalling the driver. But that doesnt work. What do you suggest?

 

Mouse shows light but doesnt work

It is a wireless mouse with keyboard which share one USB, but the mouse doesnt work, it shows lights but doesnt scroll or anything, but the keyboard works fine. I tried connecting the USB to a different computer and it still doesnt work, I tried replacing the batteries, uninstalling and reinstalling updated drivers yet it would not work.

unfortunately there isn't a lot to a usb mouse. what i would suggest is checking the power management settings on it.

Right-click the start menu and choose device manager
Expand Universal Serial Bus Controllers at the very bottom
Double-click on each HUB you have listed, click Power Management Tab at the top, and UNCHECK "Allow this computer to turn off this device to save power"
You may have HUBs called Generic and Root Hub. Perform the step above on All of them.

If you continue to have the issue, i would imagine your mouse is malfunctioning. Perhaps try another mouse just to be sure. This will help you determine if it is in fact the mouse of computer causing the issue.
