Windows 10: My mouse left click stopped working randomly and only will work again if I press...

IT's Not Your Mouse!After installing Windows 11 my mouse left click stopped working randomly and only will work again if I press ctrl-alt-del. Even then it would randomly stop working again. I found this to be the bug: The touchscreen option was ON by default even though I use a PC with a 32-inch monitor screen. No touchy! ;-So, I flicked it off and no more problems..... Mouse stops working randomly .

My mouse stops working randomly however the scroll wheel works everytime but the cursor would stop responding randomly and starts working again and again.

 

Left mouse click randomly stops working Windows 10 64bit

I have a gaming rig with Ttesports by Thermaltake keyboard and mouse combo. Everything appeared to work great until recently the mouse Left click randomly stops working. This is a fresh install of windows 10
64bit. I began to notice this during gaming and after exiting the game the Left mouse click seemed to be "picky" on what it would let me click on. I have to hit the power button to shut the computer down and restart and all is well again
until randomly the Left click gets picky again. Mouse drivers are MS drivers and no drivers came with the combo. I know in the past MS has had issues with 64bit support device drivers.

I have tried:

Drivers that don't seem to exist from Tremaltake - sent them an email (tried legacy drivers form web)

Different mouse - same results - several hard wired/wireless (might try the PS2 port type mouse)

Microsoft Sculpt Comfort Mouse - stops working

Recently after an update to Windows 10, my Microsoft Sculpt Comfort Mouse stops working.

After looking at some posts. The following steps seem to work.

In Device Manager, under Bluetooth uninstall devices, then under actions Scan for hardware changes.

This seems to work and the mouse works again however, these steps are repeated over the course of the day as the mouse stops working randomly.

I also notice that under other devices I have a number of devices that seem to be unknown





I also have a Microsoft phone 950xl and 640 however these drivers are for other nokia phones which we do not have.

Can someone suggest a permanent fix to (a) the Bluetooth mouse not needing to be reset the way I have been doing this (as listed above) and (b) a fix for these other devices.

The laptop I use is a Dell Inspiron 15 - 7000 Series
