Windows 10: My mouse pad wont work

I have a touchscreen laptop so it doesn't really affect me but for some reason whenever I use my mouse pad nothing happens. Whether I push down to click something or slide my finger around on it, a curser will not even pop up on my screen so it's totally useless. It used to work when I first got the computer but stopped working around a year ago and I never bothered to fix it. I've tried looking up videos but they don't help and I've also tried to mess around in settings but that won't work either. Any tips?

Mouse Pad wont work

My mousepad wont work unless i use a wired/ wireless mouse but if i unplug the wired mouse and try moving it with the mouse pad it wont work??? i dont know if i accidently turned it off or something but i need help.

after a recent windows update my mouse and touch pad wont work. I have an HP Envy 15 with Win 10 home x64. I have spent hours installing and uninstalling the synaptics driver but it wont start.

a previous post suggest a registry edit but this was for Win8

I suggest you to follow the below methods and check if it helps.

• Are you using wired or wireless mouse?
• Are you getting light below the mouse pad?
• What is the exact issue are you facing?

I suggest you to install the hardware drivers from the manufacturer’s website in incompatibility mode and check if the issue persists.
