    My mouse randomly freezes, and wont move unless I close and reopen my laptop


    I am using the Dell Inspiron 14 laptop, and I had previously had mouse/touchpad issues so I had the whole touchpad replaced *thinking* it would fix itAnyway, now I have a new issue every about 2 minutes the mouse will just freeze. I'll be moving it to go somewhere and it'll just freeze. Clicking, double click, two-finger click etc will still work in its frozen location but it just won't move at all. It won't start moving again unless I close and reopen the laptop.At this point, I don't believe it's a touchpad issue since I just replaced it but I really don't know what to do to fix this. Also,

    At this point, I don't believe it's a touchpad issue since I just replaced it but I really don't know what to do to fix this. Also, the mouse is fine if I use an external USB mouse it doesn't freeze or anything. (I have it that when I use an external mouse the touchpad function is also off)

    Windows 10 freezes randomly


    I had already tried turning off fast startup, to no avail.
    Will look at the list you provided, thanks. Hard to do when computer freezes on the Windows loading screen though. *Biggrin
    I had tried that as well... no result.

    mouse freezes and then right click wont respond

    Hi guys. 4 days ago my mouse in my dell precision windows 10 laptop started freezing. The right click would not respond at clicking. i did alt+ctrl+shift renewed the windows explorer and then the left click function of the mouse would be reed but I had no right click.
    I called dell and they came and changed the entire mouse pad but still no success.
    I downloaded the shellexview as was proposed in another thread and followed the steps to disable the pink ones, still no result.
    Today I did format in the laptop and reinstalled windows 10. a few hours later the problem was back. After the format I installed again shellexview and repeated the steps. still no result
    I am running out of options. Please any help would be greatly appreciated
