Windows 10: My Mouse Stopped Working after I changed the battery

My computer still recognizes the mouse as I get the sound every time I enter the USB, but whenever I move, click, or interact with the mouse, nothing happens. I accidentally also uninstalled my mouse drivers After already trying to update, disable, reenable drivers too in an attempt to fix it, and even after restarting my laptop multiple times the drivers did not reinstall. How do I fix this?

Wireless Mouse stops working when external HDD plugged in to USB3 port

I have a minor but annoying problem and can't find a solution....

My wireless mouse stops working when an external USB3 HDD is plugged in to USB3 port. The mouse is about 3 feet away from the receiver.

My mouse is a Logitech M310.

• I don't have the problem if a USB 2 external HDD is connected to either a USB2 or USB3 port.
• I have moved the mouse receiver to different ports on both the front and back of the computer but this doesn't change anything.
• If I move the mouse very close to the receiver (a couple of inches), it works so it seems that the wireless range is reduced when the USB3 HDD is plugged in.
• If I connect a wired mouse, it works fine.
• I have 2 USB3 ports and the problem is the same on both.
• If the USB3 HDD is connected to a USB2 port, the mouse works normally.
• I changed the battery in the mouse but this didn't help.
• the USB3 HDD is a WD Passport that is self powered through the USB port.

Any suggestions?

Hi : is that a wireless mouse, isn't it. Does your PC is a desktop

or laptop : if So, here's the advisable steps to try it on

How do I reconnect my wireless mouse, after changing the battery

There is usually a "Connect button" Somewhere on the USB receiver.

Press that and a light on the receiver, should start flashing. Then press the

connect button on keyboard or mouse. The flashing light on the USB receiver

should stop. Your receiver is now synced with the keyboard and/or mouse

 

Mouse Stopped Working after MS Software Update

The wireless mouse for my laptop PC stopped working after I downloaded a Microsoft update on 19 Feb 2018. I've tried replacing the battery in the mouse, changing USB ports for the receiver, and trying a new mouse- none of these worked. Any suggestions?
