Windows 10: My mouse tracks weird with my new Acer laptop

I got a new Acer Aspire 3 laptop and have of course, installed my wireless mouse as I can't stand using the touch pad. My mouse is a Logitech M325, and while it works okay when away from the touch pad, when I get it near it, the tracking gets all wonky. I move my mouse up, it goes to the right, and when I move it down, the cursor goes to the left. In addition, the tracking gets super fast and out of control.


I've tried updating to the latest version of Windows 10, deleting and reinstalling the mouse driver, turning it off and back on again, unplugging and re-plugging it in, and even turning the touch pad off. I tried everything that I could think of to fix it, and nothing has worked.


If anyone has any ideas as to why this is happening, and how to fix it, I'd really appreciate it.

Laptop keyboard and mouse track doesn't work

My laptop keyboard and mouse track only work in bios and Windows 10 safe mode.

I have removed drivers, updated drivers, reinstalled window 10 by disc, reinstalled windows 10 from laptop manufacturer via recovery USB, and performed a complete clean recovery through the system.

After completing the clean recovery through the system, the keyboard and mouse track worked while signed in via normal boot (all other reinstall/recovery attempts fixed nothing). So I created a restore point, just incase. I shutdown the laptop, and when
I started it up again.... no keyboard and mouse track function again. I restored to the point I created when they were operating... It had no effect, keyboard and mouse track did not work.

I can't figure out why the keyboard and mouse track work in Windows 10 safe mode, bios, and directly after clean restore, but not in Windows 10 regular mode.

Can anyone suggest anything I haven't tried?

 

Acer Laptops :are they crap ?

Acer makes a cheap prodcut period. They user lower end plastics, as well as assembly. (I hate working on Acer laptops)

If budget is an issue then get an acer... though for $50 more you could get a gateway that will smoke the acer in terms of quality.

For a laptop though i would suggest one of the DV7T's from HP or a Business class Toshiba/HP/IBM (not the lenovo branded, the Thinkpads)

If you prefer, you still can revert it back using the factory restore procedure, there's a hotkey on every new acer laptop/PC. just my two cents
