Windows 10: My msiexec.exe got deleted by a virus what do i do?

I just recently got a Windows 11 device and i was installing some stuff, i somehow got the wacatac trojan. By the time i realized it and installed a proper antivirus to eliminate it it had infected and deleted most of my .exe files for some reason including some system files like msiexec.exe. I am wondering if there is any way i can resolve this other than performing a factory reset as i urgently need to install Visual Studio for an upcoming project.

what does msiexec /unregister do

In my post I already said I can still install the msi file after I used the msiexec /unregister command

I never said anything about EXE file.

So what does msiexec /unregister command do specifically? In other words if I do not use the command msiexec /Regserver to registry back. What will happen?

It is possible that you .exe is not working due to corrupted system files or account. To assist you better, kindly answer the following questions:

• Does this happen with a specific application or with all of your application?
• Have you tried creating a new admin account to check if the issue also with new account or only with the current account?

Delete @virus = HR

Follow below steps to remove @virus = HR,

• Navigate to C:\Users\{username}\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup and
  delete System.bat (shift+del - requires Administrator
  privilege)
• Reboot the Windows
• Now, delete (shift+del) its
  remnants on desktop, user directories, system drive, windows drive, and root of each partition & drives
