Windows 10: my music audio lowers when game audio happens

I did a USB reinstall of Windows 11 and forgot to backup my OEM files. Alas I was able to get drivers and everything works as expected, except that music volume gets lowered when say a tank fires its gun in a game, or so on. How do I fix this? I've tried going to sound settings and communications but it still does this after setting it to do nothing.

I suggest you to try the following methods and check:



Method 1 : Hardware Troubleshooter.

Please follow the below step.

• Type "Troubleshooting" without quotes in the Search box and hit enter.
• Select "Hardware and Sound" from the Troubleshooter Window.
• Select "Hardware and Devices" under Devices option.
• Follow the On Screen instructions.

Method 2: Fix sound problems in Windows 10

Method 3: Install Generic Audio Driver.

• Type device manager into the search box on the taskbar, and then type Device Manager.
• Select Device Manager>Expand the Audio Driver.
• Right click on Audio device > Click on Update driver.
• Browse my computer for driver software.
• Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my PC.
  
  Choose to High Definition Audio Device.
• Click next and then follow the rest of the instructions to install it
• Restart the PC and check if the Audio works fine.

Movie Maker Audio No Sound!

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community. I understand that you are unable to hear audio from the video file in Movie maker. Be rest assured I will provide you with the steps to try and fix the issue.

Method 1:

This could also be the issue if the video files are not supported by Movie maker.

You may convert the format of the video by using a video converter and try again.

To change the audio volume of a music item

• 
  Click the music.
  
• 
  Under Music Tools, on the Options tab, in the
  Audio group, click Music volume, and then move the slider left to lower the volume or right to increase it.
  

To change the volume of the audio in a video

• 
  Click the video.
  
• 
  Under Video Tools, on the Edit tab, in the Audio group, click
  Video volume, and then move the slider left to lower the volume or right to increase it.
  

Method 2:

Type "services" in the Windows search box

From the list of services, choose Windows Audio

Stop the service, then

Start the service.

All audio lowers when people (in call or in game) speak

Hello, I am having an issue with my audio automatically lowering whenever someone speaks, then going back up when everyone is quiet. I have done all the steps in the reply to this thread here Redirecting (the solutions that were different anyways) however the issue still persists. I have also updated Windows 10 to the latest optional version, and I've made sure to check attenuation settings in Discord and made sure they are off. It happens with Discord audio, Valorant teammates speaking, and it lowers audio for everything else, not just Spotify for example.
