  1. My new 3840 x 2160 monitor won't scale text on settings windows to a comfortably readable size

This is really problematic. I have a new build custom PC with a BenQ 3840 x 2160 monitor, and the text in the Windows setting popup boxes is so small as to be almost unreadable. I can't find a way to scale the text up to a comfortably readable size.

How do I set Windows 10 to view 3840 x 2160 resolution on the monitor?

My Samsung computer monitor is capable of a 3840 x 2160 resolution, but my Windows 10 pro only has a maximum monitor resolution setting of 1920 x 1080. How do I configure Windows 10 to take advantage of the 3840 x 2160 resolution that my monitor is capable
    of?

  3. Problem with Resolution/Windows scaling at 3840 x 2160

    Hi,

I have a problem with 2x new machines HP EliteBook x360 1030 regarding their resolution and scaling.

Display settings are as below with Scale recommended 300% and 3840 x 2160 resolution recommended

Problem is with scaling set to 300% anything I click has a massive icon, as shown in excel picture, same with saving in explorer has a tiny box to select from. If changing scaling to 100% then everything is really tiny and unusable. Only work around is changing
from native resolution and setting it to 1920 x 1080 and setting resolution to 100% but it should be able to work at this resolution without issues.

  4. My new 3840 x 2160 monitor won't scale text on settings windows to a comfortably readable size

New monitor, UHD, thumbnails do not scale up in windows explorer.

Sorry to disagree. That is definitely NOT a good solution.

If I scale at 100% at 3840 x 2160 resolution, all text becomes microscopically small. I can't read any text. 300% is the recommended scaling for the 3840 x 2160 resolution, and that works mostly OK, except for a few programs that don't scale the buttons properly and for the explorer thumbnails.
