    My new Alienware M15 r4 laptop keeps restarting whenever I play a game.


    I have a brand new Alienware laptop, with a NVIDIA 3060 GPU, but when I try playing anything it just randomly restarts. I have run many diagnostics on all of the hardware, nothing is out of the ordinary. How would I go about fixing?

    Im wondering whether to buy another alienware m17x r4 laptop on ebay but i heard that dell doesn’t support these laptops or they don’t have the drivers (something like this could you please clarify) Im thinking i might just buy a apple macbook instead
    because i did own an alienware m17x r4 before and had nothing but problems.

    You can use either 16GB DDR4-3200 SODIMM or 16GB DDR4-2666 SODIMM, here is the Crucial page for that RAM, but there are many, many other manufacturers:

    The graphics on that laptop is not upgradable, it is soldered to the motherboard, the only option (other than to buy a new laptop) is to grab the Alienware Graphics Amplifier and buy a desktop GPU for it
