I got the update notification for my pc, and it looked normal. I run frequent virus scans on a couple separate antivirus programs, like the built in windows antivirus and Malwarebytes. I scan downloads and do everything I can to keep my computer healthy. So I installed the updates, and upon restarting my PC, everything was normal, until I noticed the news bar. It has always displayed English, with relevant American news, Until this last update. It showed Hindi characters, and was displaying news from India. I was super confused and freaked out possibly having to do with watching a lot of scam

Windows 10 Hindi language pack

Hi,

In order for your friend to use Hindi, he needs to add the Hindi language pack first. Follow these steps:

• Open Settings and click Time & language.
• Click Region & language.
• Under Languages, click Add a language.
• In the search bar, type in Hindi.
• Click Hindi in the result and follow the on-screen instructions.

Extra language bar appearing in taskbar

I often switch between languages while typing, so I always set the language bar to be visible and floating on the desktop. This makes it more convenient to change language options while working, and saves space on the taskbar. But recently an extra language bar has appeared in the taskbar:




This wastes space on the taskbar. I would rather use that space to display other things. I only want the floating language bar, but I can't find settings anywhere to remove the taskbar langage display.
If I minimize the floating language bar, I end up with both language bars on the taskbar:


Any suggestions?

This is Windows 10 64-bit. I just installed Cumulative Update 1803, but this problem has existed for at least a few weeks.

 

English is default language for my PC yet System data shows up in English, Hindi, and English+Hindi

Meanwhile,I suggest you to uninstall the Hindi language pack and check if it helps.

To do so,please follow the steps below:

• Type settings in the search box.
• Click on time and language.
• Click on region and language.
• Under language right click on hindi and click on
  remove.
