    Hi

My office desk PC is set for auto updates -

After a most recent windows 10 update - recently my mail and calendar apps went blank & fail to work - they attempt load for just a second and then crash & vanish - all other apps work fine - office 365 works also -

I have been on to MS Support at least 10 times and Windows 10 has been installed a few times - no resolution tho -

& making no progress either -

I do appreciate the assistance for sure -

I feel a little like Juan on the Boards - my pc is for my business and i have both important scheduling and e mailing apps now dont work -

I have other devices - surface - laptop - iMac - and those bide me over for now -

I have lost all my settings & favourites etc and for a while as like Juan - i felt that the PC was in a worse situation than when we started -

Should I just stop using the Mail App and the Calendar app altogether ? But they are v functional -

We have tried all - scan for virus = none, cant delete and reinstall as the uninstall button is greyed out, we reset and tried to terminate -

MS wont call me back until Thursday next - so i'm out of commission and on the iMac until then -

    Any suggestions please

    Thank you kindly

    Regards

    Seam

    :)

That's what the auto setting will do since you're over the 1333 mark it jumps to the next step which isn't listed or officially supported I assume by that ram.

At this point though I would suggest dropping the multi one step or .5 so that we can get something stable and possibly take the heat issue out of the picture for now.

Need Serious Help: How To Record Video of What is Done on my PC?

I suggest the following simple steps:

    1. Set the autosave options in MS Office to a low value say 5 minutes.
    2. Setup file history to autosave frequently - the shortest period is 5 mins
    3. Install Macrium Reflect Free and configure it to do a daily incremental system backup

You should be well covered if you do the above to protect your key files.

What Times WU To Auto Check For Updates?

I'm in the exact same situation. I'm just going to wait and see. Perhaps my PC (and yours) are bottom of the list for this update for some reason.

Sure manual check upgrades it but auto doesn't.

    Sorry I can't suggest why...
