Windows 10: My old email got hacked and I added a new one and I can't access it

My former email *** Email address is removed for privacy *** was hacked and I don't have access to it. I added a new one *** Email address is removed for privacy *** and it was working yesterday. Now I can't log in using the new email and password I set up. My cell no 956-533-0220 is the phone associated with this account How can I speak to someone about this problem.

Here is the step to remove that old email address.

Start typing an email address into the “To” field. As soon as you see the old email address being recommended as one of the potential candidates, use the down arrow key to scroll through the list of suggestions. Once you highlight the old email address, type the delete key. In many cases, this will actually remove the entry not only from the current list of suggestions but from future suggestions as well. You may even find that as you mouse over the drop-down list the highlighted item will have an “x” to explicitly allow you to delete it.

Just do this step and your good to go.

Cannot access old account email

Hello,

I have a conundrum that I need solved, and the automated account recovery form does not allow any sort of contact with a human to explain and work through the situation. Here's my issue:

I created a microsoft account a long time ago when I got my first alienware laptop. It was attached to my old skype account, both of which used my very first email address. Later on, I added a new (still in use today) gmail account as the login email for the account. My very first email account that is the primary got hacked, and I can't reset my password or verify it to be able to transfer the total ownership to the gmail account.

Fast forward to this week. I finished my new PC build, installed a new windows OS and tried logging in. This triggered a lockdown of my old account because the activity was deemed "suspicious." I needed to log into my hacked email (which I obviously cannot do) to retrieve the code. Fed up, I decided to create an account on another email address (rarely used but still have access to). Now that I have this new account created, I tried adding my gmail account to it as the new primary, and lo and behold I can't because its "taken" by another account.

Any attempts at doing the account recovery feature of my old account immediately say I haven't provided enough information to prove ownership. The only suggestion is to then unhelpfully submit a new request and "include more things."

So I need to either:

- Close my old account and free my gmail to be added to my new one

- Verify ownership of my old account so I can close it

Both of these require talking to a human to sort out because the ham-fisted automated recovery system doesn't provide a path forward. Can I get some assistance?
