Windows 10: My old PC was damaged and it's giving me a hard time when installing Windows on a new computer.

So the only parts I could retrieve from my old device was my power supply and my two SSDs. I should have formatted them before putting them in the new PC I built I have a new M.2 drive which will serve as my boot up, but I discovered a new problem: I can't install my Windows 10 Pro on this new PC.


My copy of Windows 10 was a free upgrade when Microsoft was offering it in 2015 I believe and I seem to be having a mighty hard time finding anything to prove that. I can't find a product key in my email address, but I don't think I'd have once since mine was the free upgrade? And the Windows from my old SSD that booted up on my new PC since I didn't format properly says my Windows 10 is no longer activated, cannot activate because it doesn't recognize the new hardware understood but I can't access the original hardware since it doesn't work anymore.


Do I have any options here, or will I be forced to buy a new copy of Windows 10?

Installing old hard drive to new computer

Hi

I have purchased a new computer and was wanting to reformat my old hard drives and install them on my new computer. I have windows 10 on my new computer so i want to just use the 2 hard drives i have on my old computer for storage. So i have a 250gb hardrive
with windows 10 and a 500gb hard drive which is just for storage. I would like to reformat both of these drives and install them. Thanks for any help you can give

Can I install an old hard drive from an old computer on a new computer?

I have a 640 GB HDD from my old computer and would like to know if I can install it on my new desktop without issues. The connections match but not sure if the new computer will try and booth-up from the old hard drive. the new
computer is running Window 10. Can anyone let me know if this is at all posable or should I just invest in a new hard drive, and if it is posable, what are the steps I need to follow. Thanks

 

windows xp installation and dual core am

could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx
