Windows 10: My “Omen Desktop 870-244” is stuck on the loading screen.

I turn it on by pressing the power button and it’s stuck on the omen red diamond loading screen. I’ve turned it off and back on several times and it does the same things. It’s worked fine since I’ve got it but I chose to turn it off by going to power off setting and this happened.

New HP Omen GTX 1070 - blank screen

I just purchased a new HP Omen desktop 870-244 and it does not display anything on my monitor after windows starts. Pre-windows it shows the boot/BIOS loading text and the Omean logo but then goes blank after this.

Steps tried so far:

• Verified the monitor I'm using works with other computers
• Verified the resolution is supported and works with other computers on this monitor
• Tried the Omen on TV through HDMI - worked
• Tried in safe mode with Base video option enabled - worked
• Clean install of drivers - didn't solve

I'm not sure what else I should try.

HP OMEN 870-230 Control (LED lighting)

DaveM121, tried your suggestion. Result: Windows can't find Omen Control...... As said previously many people like myself who unfortunately bought OMEN 870-230 computer are experiencing this error and HP appear to have no solution to rectify this or bother
to find one. How uninstalling the said software, still allows the LED light control to work is a mystery. It must be part in the Registry. If the changing lights are of annoyance as indeed it is, one remedy is to open the computer's case and disconnect the
connecting wires, that in turn will null the 12 month guarantee. One way or the other, HP can say goodbye to me as a customer. If OMEN Control software that I have but appears different to your picture, is reinstalled, I can then manually turn the Control
off at each boot up of computer. Unfortunately, this works only for a few days and then back to square one. Thanks, .

 

windows update stuck at installation screen and cannot get to desktop

Hi Sue,

To understand the issue better, I would like to ask some questions:

• Is the computer stuck in the Installing updates screen?
• For how long is the computer stuck in the screen?
• When was the computer last updated?
• Is the screen showing any percentage of installation?

Sometimes the installation might take a long time to install if the update is of large size. So, I suggest you to wait for sometime and check if the system boots to the desktop. If it is taking a longer time, then perform a Power Drain by following the steps
provided below:

• Shut down the Computer.
• Remove all power source (including battery if it is a laptop).
• Press and hold the power button for 15-20 seconds.
• Connect the power source and start the computer.
• After the computer boots to the desktop, suggest you to install all the pending updates.
