Windows 10: My on-screen keyboard won't appear after using copy and paste

My on-screen keyboard has stopped working. I can't get it to come up, even if I press the on-screen keyboard button on the keyboard. I noticed that it stopped working after I tried to copy and paste a sentence from youtube to my chrome search bar. It seems like it's locked on a mode of some sort because now whenever I tap on a sentence in the search bar it activates those blue tear-drop things like it believes I want to copy the sentence and no keyboard appears. A moment ago it just randomly popped up but it won't won't appear on command anymore.

E71x copy/paste keyboard shortcuts?

OK, here's what I get for those key combos:

• fn, then chr = Select Symbol
• fn + chr = Select Symbol
• mark text, then fn + chr + X = Select Symbol

:smileysad: Why would AT&T want to remove a keyboard shortcut for copy/paste?!?!?

 

Windows Explorer Copy and Paste problems

The copy/paste problem could be due to Windows Explorer issue or faulty keyboard.

Wewould like to know some information to better isolate the problem:

• Is the issue also happening when trying to copy/paste any Office files, or is it only happening in Windows Explorer?
• Have you tried other ways like; right-click + Copy, then right-click + Paste?
  
• What troubleshooting steps have you done so far?
