Windows 10: My on-screen Windows are "scrunched" when coming out of sleep mode, but only when using...

When my Windows machine comes out of display sleep mode, all my windows have resized themselves to be shorter and wider than how I left them.ASUS 28" 4K Monitor in 1920x1080 mode VIA Windows w/Nvdia GTX GeForce 970.https://imgur.com/0iUrNGlIt only does this when using DisplayPort, not HDMI. But I need that HDMI port for my TV. When I come out of sleep mode, all windows are give or take 5 pixles 1272 x 676 divide by 2 since I'm halving my resolution. It does this in 4K mode the same - my setting the resolution to 1920x1080 does not matter.Here is a screen shot of the newly resized win

Issues coming out of sleep mode

My laptop (Thinkpad T14 AMD Gen 1) has had issues in sleep mode ever since the Windows 11 Update. Issues include:

• Not coming out of sleep mode and I have to hold the power button to reboot
  
• Locking up on the face recognition screen for 60+ seconds, then getting the blue screen of death before finally rebooting OK
  
• Coming out of sleep mode having all my programs shut down
  
• Not recognizing my USB mouse / keyboard coming out of sleep mode.
  

Any ideas? Rebooting every time and loading up all my work twice a day is very frustrating.

 

Issues coming out of sleep mode

Where are the results for the dozens of steps I gave you to try? The steps i gave are absolutely the fixes for Sleep Mode, starting with the display adapter upon which sleep entirely depends, and every other step I gave which you have to actually perform to know whether they help or not.

I understood that Windows doesn't come out of sleep, but that doesn't make the steps to fix sleep any different.

Then I also took the time to write out all of the fixes for Hello Face which you said wasn't working right. Did you even read them? Not a word was said about a single step, not a finger was lifted. Did you think it was going to fix itself just by asking the question?

There could be other settings on your computer that triggers your computer to go on sleep even though the sleep settings is set to never. To ensure that the sleep and display settings are properly set, I suggest that you look into the Advanced Power Settings.
Follow these steps:

• Open Control Panel and click Power Options.
• On your preferred plan, click Change plan settings.
• Click advanced power settings.
• Expand Sleep option, and make sure to set the following:

Sleep after : Never

Hibernate after : Never

5. Click Apply, then OK.

Please check also the screen saver option.

• Navigate to Settings > Personalization > Lock screen.
• Click Screen saver settings.
• Set your Screen saver to None.
• Click Apply, then OK.

Once done, please observe if your computer still goes to sleep mode after a few minutes of inactivity.
