Windows 10: My organization account is taking over my personal account on my laptop so I cannot change...

hey so I added my work account recently and for some reason, I cannot access certain features anymore such as hello pin even though my admin account it tied to personal how do I Fix this

Remove account

I suggest you backup your personalized files first before removing the account.
To delete an account, follow these steps:

1. Press WIN + X keys and click Command Prompt (Admin) from the menu.
2. Type the following command and press Enter. Replace test with the name of your sister's account. Code:

Also may I suggest you change email accounts to one of the following.....

Gmail
Outlook

The reason is they both use "Step two verification". This style of verification means even if a hacker gets your password they cannot log in to your account. You see every time someone try's to log in that hasn't been verified you will get a text or a phone call giving you a final code to log in. Its very easy and simple to setup also. The great thing is once you setup your Email application with a specific "application password" from that account you never have to log in again AND your account is protected from being logged in from foreign entities.

I like the new outlook personally however Gmail is also damn good. Gmail also has an IP tracker that allows you to see WHERE the account has been logged in from. Anyway let us know if you wanna change over and have any questions. We will be happy to help and welcome to TPU!

 

Change of accounts

Hi Maddy,

If you don't have any other accounts on your new laptop except for the old account that you've used, then I suggest that you create a new user account using your new account. By the way, is your old login a Microsoft account or only a local account?

To create a new local user account, follow these steps:

1. Navigate to Settings > Accounts.
2. Select Family & other people in the left pane.
3. Under Other people, click Add someone else to this PC.
4. In the How will this person sign in window, click I don't have this person's sign-in information.
5. Fill out the details in Create an account on this PC window, then hit
   Next.
6. Follow the on-screen instructions.

If you want to make your new account an administrator account, follow these steps:

1. Navigate to Settings > Account > Family & other people.
2. Select Change account type.
3. Under Account type, select Administrator, then click
   OK.
4. Restart your computer and sign-in with the new administrator account.
