Hey everyone. I had no issue with my computer a few hours ago, u decided to make a system backup using an external My Passport HDD, the copy was interrupted and I had the misfortune of having my battery die.(it has been faulty for some time and had to be plugged in 24/7) when I reset my computer I had the Invalid Partition Table error pop up, I reset my computer again and am met with the option to log in. When I tried to log in at first it said my PIN was not available but when I tried again I got into my system; no problem. I received the option to perform a system restore but spend a few hours on windows and in chrome as I had to complete some work. When I performed the system restore, mind you I was just listening to music and browsing the web with no problem; the error message "An operating system wasn't found try disconnecting any drives that don't contain an operating system. I was just in windows and had used Hard Disk sentinel to check my SSD and was met with no issue at all. What am I suppose to do. I know the operating system is there; I was just using it. Is all my data gone? Please help me.

    Thanks in advance!

  3. Copying Image Files from Samsung S6

    Hi,

Thank you for posting your query in Microsoft Community.

Please share the below information to help you better.

    • How are you trying to copy image files?
I suggest you to follow the below steps.

There is a possibility that some third party software installed on the computer might be interrupting the backup process I would suggest that you place computer in a clean boot state and then try the backup & check if the issue
    persists.

    Clean boot:

Please follow the link to perform a clean boot:

    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929135

Note: After you have finished clean boot, follow these steps to boot to normal startup.

    a) Press the ‘Windows + R’ key on the keyboard.

    b) In the ‘Run’ windows type ’MSCONFIG’ and click ‘Ok’.

    c) On the ‘General’ tab, click the ‘Normal Startup’ option, and then click ‘OK’.

    d) When you are prompted to restart the computer, click ‘Restart’.

Check if that helps & Do keep us updated on this issue.

    Thank you.

Restoring Windows 10 Image using Macrium Reflect

In addition to the above. Here's my suggestion in step by step.
I assume you have Macrium Installed in your current HD and already made a backup copy.
    1. Connect your new HD via USB port and boot up.
    2. Run Macrium, click on Restore tab then select the Backup Image that you made to restore
    3. click on "select a different target disk" then select your new HD as destination

My OS was fine and I decided to make a back up image copy but it was interrupted. I was... [IMG]
    4. Proceed to restore then Shutdown and disconnect the old HD and replace with the new HD
    5. Boot up with your new HD.
