    My PC always wakes up on its own after a few minutes "Power Button"


    My PC, since I built it in July, has constantly woken itself up from sleep, for no apparent reason. Event Viewer always lists the source of the wakeup as "Power Button" it obviously is not the power button. I have spoken to MS support on 3 separate occasions about this and not gotten anywhere.Here is what I've tried so far:Replace all hardware drivers with fresh drivers from mfg websiteclean bootunplug almost all devicesswitch to energy saver / low power settingsSwitch to linux to test linux suspend. suspend works no problem, never wakes back up automatically.It doesn't always wake itself u

    Only the Power Button Wakes PC from Sleep - Laptop

    • Open the Keyboard control panel item by typing keyboard into Start Menu.
    • Click the Hardware tab, and then click Properties.
    • Click the Change Settings button

      Note: This step requires Administrator access
    • Click the Power Management tab, and then verify that the Allow this device to wake the computer is enabled.
    • Click OK, and then click OK again.

    Only the Power Button Wakes PC from Sleep - Laptop

    If your computer does not support Advanced Configuration and Power Interface (ACPI), the earlier steps may not be available. In this case, you have press the power button to wake the computer.
