    My pc crashes randomly there is no blue screen just goes all black and restarts


    For like past 2 months my pc is crashing randomly and sometimes it constantly keeps crashing. I check the event viewer can’t figure out whats the issue problem. Event id 7000 and warning event id 10016.

    Screen goes blue / black on start of atitool

    i tried 0.26 and the new beta but its the same... if i start atitool the screen immidiately goes blue or black and i have to reboot... the computer doesnt really hang but the screen seems to be lost.
    any suggestions? i dont have any other programs running, i dont even want to OC my card i just want to have control over the fan speed, i have a x1800xt btw.

    Computer randomly has black screen and restarts

    Taco this could be software also. Before you get all crazy, do as Erocker suggested. Find out the error in the Event Viewer. Look for the faulting module and the error code itself. Also check the reliability monitor. At the bottom it will have "View all Error Reports". Post a screen of whats in there if anything.

    This could be a simple as a bad driver install.

    ALSO have you downloaded or installed anything lately? STAY OUT OF THE DAMN BIOS UNTIL WE KNOW THE ERROR! lol. I know you. Baby steps boy, baby steps.
