Windows 10: My pc crashes when i attempt to update the gpu drivers

anytime i try to update the gpu drivers, mi pc crashes into a black screen, when it boots back if it even does, sometimes I end up in a boot loop and have to revert to a restore point or completely reinstall Windows in the device manager my gpu shows with an alarm symbol and an error 43, i have the monitor plug into the gpu and i have image and i can use the pc normally but my pc says that windows stopped the gpu device adn when i try to use programs like afterburner or some software like that, no gpu is detected, and of course i cant play any game etcbefore all of this i was having to under

W1zzard is asking you to test so that he can suggest next steps and be able to troubleshoot the issue you have.
If another version works, it would be one set of steps.
If several other versions also fail/crash, then it would be another.

 

Gpu driver crashes pc

Pc crashed once while playing a game, after that it would never load windows and go into a boot loop or get stuck on a black screen every time, if i go into safe mode pc works fine, and if i disable my display adapter (gtx 660ti) i can load windows normally but cant use my gpu of course, updating gpu drivers also crashes pc and makes it go into boot loop or black screen.

windows 10 64 bit pro n

motherboard: asus p8z77-v le plus

cpu: intel i7 3770k

ram: 2 sticks of kingston 8 gb ram

gpu: gtx 660ti

all drivers except the gpu are up to date
