Windows 10: My PC does not have my Wifi as an option to connect to, and it constantly tells me to...

I've recently built myself a pc, and I've been trying to connect to the internet. However, my wifi never seems to show, even if my other devices are connected. When I try and troubleshoot the network problems, it tells me to connect to an Ethernet Cable, although I would rather not have to do so. I have tried to reset my computer, change WLAN settings, etc but nothing seems to work. I can't even set it to a previous save where I was connected, as the PC has never let me.

WiFi Networks constantly disappearing

I recently moved to college and brought my Windows 10 PC that I have been using for years with no wifi problems, but now I run into this one constantly. My PC will randomly disconnect from the wifi, and when I click on the wireless icon at the bottom-right,
none of the nearby networks are in the list. Turning the wifi off and on again will restore the list and reconnect me, but I have to do this constantly. My drivers are up to date.

You don't need to sign in to connect to the WiFi at the new location. There is a network icon at the lower right on the sign in screen. Click on it and you get the same list of available WiFi as you see if you click the network icon on the task bar. You will be able to connect to the facility's WiFi without signing in. You just need to ask their technical people for the WiFi password so you can enter it when you try to connect.





Clicking on the network icon on the sign in screen gets you the same screen as shown in Option Four in this tutorial. You will then be able to follow the rest of the steps in Option Four to connect.

When will the wifi connectivity problems be solved?


OK, so the Windows 10 engineers bollixed up the wifi connectivity part of the operating system. Everybody knows that by now. It seems they are making some progress in resolving it. Now, instead of seeing "Secured, No Internet" on your list of wifi connections, you see "Connected, Secured" EXCEPT no webpages will load. So you really aren't connected. It does seem to be a step in the right direction. Does anybody know when they plan on a full and complete repair of this screw up of epic proportions?
