Windows 10: My PC doesn't detect second monitor, have tried everything. Please help

One day my second monitor just quit working but it still had power. It was no longer being detected by Windows 11. I tried the monitor on another computer and it worked fine. So, I took it back to my main computer and tried different cables and still it wasn't detected. I tried different ports, Displayport instead of HDMI, tried a Displayport to HDMI, tried DVI to HDMI. I had it connected orginally HDMI to HDMI. I updated Windows and also updated all optional updates. I updated my Nvidia graphics card driver, I bought new cables, I checked all the refresh rates and resolutions they a

PC will not detect second monitor

So....I'm trying to connect a second monitor to my pc but it is not able to detect the second monitor. OS is windows 10 and my gfx card is a geforce gtx 1050. there are 2 hdmi ports and one dvi port on the dedicated gfx card - main screen is connected via hdmi (which is working fine) but the second monitor i'm trying to connect only has a vga port so i'm using a dvi-vga converter. all the connections should be fine and all my drivers are up to date. i tried detecting the second screen through the nvidia control options and the windows display options but I'm not able to get my pc to detect the second monitor. if anyone can help me troubleshoot this issue, it'd be greatly appreciated! thanks in advance.

Since the issue occurred after the latest update, it's possible that the video or monitor drivers require an update. Try looking for the updated version of the drivers on the device manufacturer's website and follow their instructions.

If the issue persists, try to roll back the drivers to the last good configuration. To do that, you may follow these steps:

• Right-click the Start button and select Device Manager.
• Right-click your device driver, select Properties, and browse to the
  Driver tab.
• Press the Roll Back Driver option if available, and Windows 10 will begin the process.
