Windows 10: My PC freezes and is unresponsive with disk usage at 100%.

The symptoms are that the taskbar sometimes disappears, the background turns white or black although black is rarer. During games, sometimes it would happen and my audio would stutter then the game would freeze after a bit. I can always replicate the issue by copying a large file. At first it shows normal speeds 200-300 mb/s then drops to near zero after a few seconds. Although it happens at random too.A strange occurrence is that under the "Performance" tab in task manager, the ssd usage shows 100% and the average response time is very high, multiple seconds, while under the processes tab,

I've seen that article. and I am in fact not running that driver. I followed the steps and it does not appear in the list.
