Windows 10: My PC freezes at random.

Hello. My PC freezes when I'm trying to render something or play a game. The screen freezes and is unresponsive. I can't move my mouse nor use the keys on my keyboard. The only thing I can do is do a hard-reset to continue using it. It also refuses to install the latest Windows 10 updates.


Crashlogs: (Crashlogs are from the most recent freeze where I had to do a hard-reset.)

Random freezes or shut downs

Completely random freezing/shutdowns on a system with no recent hardware changes, and hard drive, memory, and PSU fine, usually means a software issue (file corruption or malicious software). I suggest following DavidV's recommendations.

Random hangs can also be caused by other faulty hardware. Consult with your PC manufacturer to run available hardware diagnostics. This could include:

• PC diagnostics that test the integrity of the core PC devices, such as the processor fans and cooling system
• Video and display diagnostics
• Additional hard drive diagnostics

I would request you to perform SFC scan(if you have not tried it) and then check if it helps.

System File Checker is a utility in Windows that allows users to
scan for corruptions in Windows system files and restore corrupted files.

Note: Steps mentioned for Windows 8/8.1, will work fine with Windows 10.

Hrrmmmm... but wouldnt formatting and reinstalling windows fix the issue since the virus/trojan/spyware isnt on the system any longer?
