Windows 10: My pc freezes if my display option is set to only to main monitor.the thing in win+p

Yeah thats just it but it doesnt do it if i disconnect its hdmi cable out of gpu.

How to add a second monitor in Windows 10 when no response from Windows P Extend

Aside from pressing Win+P, there is another way for you to add a second monitor and how to modify the display setting. To get started, follow the steps below:

• Right-click the Windows Start icon and click Settings.
• In the Settings app, click System and navigate to the
  Display tab.
• In the Display options, you will find different settings including the
  Multiple displays.
• Click the drop-down menu and select the Extend these displays.

Triple monitor setup - what determines the configuration under Win+P options in Windows 10?

I have two PC screens and a TV connected to a single graphics card. It worked alright until recently, I used to have it so that when I press Win+P, the option "Second screen only" would give me the two PC screens, TV off. "PC screen only" would give me just the TV, PC monitors off. Not my preference, but I got used to it.

Then it suddenly changed, with no apparent reason. It became so that "Second screen only" is TV only, to have the two PC monitors and no TV is now the "Extend" option.

I did a Windows reinstall and it worked for a while the first way, then it switched, again without any obvious reason, to the second way. I wonder: what determines the screen configuration under the individual Win+P options? If I try to set it for, say, "Second screen only" and change the configuration the way I want (be it through the Nvidia control panel or Windows 10's Display settings), the active Win+P option changes as well. Of course, a direct way to edit the configurations for Win+P options would be most welcome.

It's a shame you didn't press WIN+P a third time... it would have got your extended displays back again.

For future info:

WIN+P (x 1): PC screen only
WIN+P (x 2): Duplicate from primary display to secondary display/monitor/projector
WIN+P (x 3): Extend display to multiple monitors
WIN+P (x 4): Second screen only
WIN+P (x 5): Begin display cycle again, i.e. PC screen only...
