  1. My PC frequently goes to BSODs, crashing and rebooting - Win 10 64-bit

Hi All, Recently, my PC began giving me frequent BSODs with various error messages, most frequently that there was an issue with a heap, subsequently causing BugCheck to crash and reboot the system. The BSODs happen most frequently when attempting to load games from the Epic Games and Battle Net launchers, however it can also occur while the PC is idle. I have un-installed Battle Net as the issues began happening more frequently after I installed the program. Unfortunately, this has not fixed my issue. I have attempted using the WinDBG program to debug the issue, however I am no expert in this

    :)

PC reboots (no BSOD) on CPU stress

    Hi fellow TPU members,

not too long ago, the box my gf's PC was transported in gave way on the stairs. Yes, you got it right, that sent a PC tumbling down a flight of steps alright.

Stuff broke. Also, stuff remained intact somehow.

I bought her a new case, new CPU cooler and we removed the floppy drive, so far so good. But the PC started crashing for no apparent reason, without a BSOD.

    I tested:
    • Memtest86+, left overnight, 0 errors
    • Scanned the HDD for errors, nothing there
    • Left FurMark burning up the GFX card and drawing some power, no problems there
    • Ran Ubuntu from a Live CD doing nothing special, didn't crash
    • Ran OCCT, Linpack, Prime95, all 3 caused reboots within minutes
    • Oh, and I disabled "Restart on error" so I'm sure it's not a BSOD.
Now, I can still try and test something CPU intensive on Ubuntu, but my guess is the CPU didn't survive.
Before I do anything drastic like whippin' out the magic wallet and get her a new AMD quad, is there anything I didn't see?
I'm guessing the motherboard could be borkered as well, but can I check that other than replacing the CPU with a working one?
Any suggestions on which proggies I can use from an Ubuntu Live CD to stress the CPU?

Upgraded from Win 7 64 bit to Win 10 - was Win 10 64 bit automatic?

Please somebody help me out. I had Win 64 bit on my PC. It worked much smoother and faster than Win 7 32 bit. I later upgraded to Win 10; however, I was not given an option of 32 or 64 bit. Was it automatic? I think my sys is 32 bit. I also deleted
files enabling me to revert to Win 7 64 easily. If I have Win 10 32 bit, can I convert or upgrade to 64 bit? If so, do I need to revert back to 7 64 bit first or reinstall 7 64 back to get extra files I deleted first? Please inform.

    Thanx, Miguel

    Downgrade From Win 10 ( 64 Bit to 32 Bit )

    Hello !

My device is always running on ( Win 8 - 32 Bit ) with high performance

Recently , I wanted to try windows 10

During Installation , I was stun that I downloaded 64 bit , Not 32 bit

Whatever , I found that my device matches the requirement of 64 Bit ( Ram 2 GB , Partition C: 40 GB )

So , I decided to keep on Installation of (64 Bit)

    But .

First , the Installation took a longtime , longer than usual

Second , the performance is very slow , Compared to 32 Bit

Any way , I decided to downgrade to Win 10 32 Bit

After downloading the iso and burn it to USB

PC is freezing on the boot screen , Can't boot from USB

I tried a solution from internet , to Open the setup.exe from directory Drive:/Resources but Error message appeared

( Use the other installation disc that says 64-bit. ) Find the picture

    I Tried another windows ( windows 8 - 32 Bit )

but the same result , freezing on boot screen or Error message

I have suspected the cause wasn't 64 bit

and may be the Iso I was installed on my PC is corrupted or it missing some files

or error occurred during installation , something like that

So I downloaded latest update Win_10_2004_64bit

But I couldn't install it also , freezing on boot screen

I can't continue with bad performance with current windows (64 bit)

    I can't downgrade to win 8 or win 10 (32 bit)

    I can't Install another version of win 10 ( 64 bit )

Please help , step by step to install any windows !
