Windows 10: My PC has a 2nd blinking cursor in the top left of the screen and the main cursor is doing...

Hi, does anyone know how to resolve this problem, it started a couple of days ago, I'm using Windows 10, I have tried reading threads on Google and some say its to do with a Microsoft update or driver update and some say its system files - any ideas as I can't use my pc for my work as it won't open most things :-

I called Norton and they said that I have no viruses and that my protection is fine.

Blank Screen, Blinking Cursor

Black screen with blinking cursor

I run Windows 10 and have a black screen with a blinking cursor in the upper left corner. I can hit Control, Alt, Delete, and it reboots momentarily, show the Dell logo and F2 Setup anf F12 Boot Options in the lower right corner. Regardless of what key
I hit, it goes right back to the Black screen w/ cursor. I can't seem to do anything. Any suggestions?

 

Fast blinking cursor

This issue might occur if the Cursor blink rate is set to Fast.

I suggest you to follow the below steps and check if it sets the Cursor blink rate to normal. Here's how:

1. Open Control Panel by right click on
Start Button.

2. Change the view by option on the top right to
Large icons.

3. Click on Keyboard, Keyboard Properties window opens, set the
Cursor blink rate as you wish.

4. Click on Apply and OK, check if the issue is resolved.
