Windows 10: My PC has been repaired but it now has a different name and the scanner will not work can...

My PC has had to be repaired after the last Windows updates broke it. The PC now has a different name i.e. laptop JE KHN1C which is not the original and now the scanner does not know where to scan the document to. Is there anyway I can fine the original name please. I have important documents to scan and I cannot do this.

Worked perfectly,

• Installed 2400 series driver (when it asked what model I had I also picked, 1270 and 4180 since these had the Slide scanner interface I thought it might add a few extra drivers)
• Restarted PC
• Needed to use Device manager 'Updated driver'
• Assign 2400 driver. (See attached image)
• Be sure scanner is powered on so it appears in device manager.

Tested the Slide scanner attachment, I used PRO mode and it was discovered.
I had to use the plastic blackout slide holder (for masking the slide) to find the slide though.

Photoshop CS5 doesn't name my scanners


I have checked and my other PCs have only the attached scanner named. So I was overoptimistic about expecting to see all network scanners listed on a single machine. However, the fact remains that one PC doesn't name the attached scanner, but the WIA Support option has been activated, unlike on the other PCs. So I am happy to make a couple of extra clicks in order to select a scanner.

Programs not working

In post 26 there were steps listed to fix the operating system corruption.
Are you able to follow them?
In post 29 was the suggested dism repair command.
