Windows 10: My PC Intel Pentium 4 CPU 3.00GHz won't connect to the internet with Windows 10 Home

even after updating network drivers ,LAN_Realtek-Win10_Win11-10.63.1014.2022 , simply because my PC is relatively old for Hawaii 4G with Ethernet cable , i tried linux , it provided an older version Realtek_Ethernet_Realtek Semiconductor Co., Ltd. RTL8111/8168/8411 [OR RTL8111/8168B] PCI Express Gigabit Ethernet Controller that works , but because i can't use older versions on windows , it's still down on it. Does anyone have any suggestion ?

Windows 10 and Intel Pentium 4 550 @ 3.40 GHz?

I'm receiving the message "The CPU isn't supported" in the "Get Windows 10" app, against this older CPU (Pentium 4 550 running at 3.40 GHz).

3.40 GHz is greater than the 1 GHz listed in the system requirements.

Does Windows 10 have a thing against Hyper-Threading, or require Virtualization tech from Intel CPUs? Are Pentium 4s not supported at all?

Has anyone gone ahead and run the upgrade anyway on this type of CPU?

 

Will this cpu 3.50 gigahertz Intel Pentium G4500 be good enough to run windows 11

I have a novatech computer 5 years old with 3.50 gigahertz Intel Pentium G4500 cpu . Will microsoft ever put this in the list for suporting windows 11

I have a Dell Dimesion 4700 that's loaded but the Pentium 4 CPU was incompatible. There are certain Pentium 4 CPU's that I could upgrade the PC with that have NX such as the Pentium 4 570J and some others that I may be able to swap out in that PC but I don't
want to waste a lot of time and money for nothing.

I can buy these CPU's for $25 - $35 dollars very cost effective compared to replacing the whole PC. It's just an extra PC for when the Grandchildren come over. That's all I really need it for.

I have Windows 10 in my other 4 PC's and just want everything in the house to be running the same OS on the network to avoid any bumps in the road for the communication.

Dell refuses to tell me even how high I can go with a new CPU. Intel doesn't say if the P 4 570J or higher is compatible with Windows 10 and so I'm stuck as to what to go with.

I'm sure MS would know by now with all the testing as to whether various legacy CPU's especially by Intel would be compatible.

Does MS have list of Pentium 4's that would be compatible?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I just received the reply from Andria but it was just a rubber stamp of the requirements MS has posted which is no help at all. That post regarding the CPU requirement's simply states all that is required is a CPU running a 1ghz or faster, which is not true.
The CPU regardless of the speed has to meet many instruction set capabilites such as, support PAE (physical address extension), SSE2 (supplementary instruction sets), and NX (no execute bit) which is required for security, VT-x etc. The CPU I have runs at
3.00 ghz but isn't compatible because it doesn't support the required instruction sets. MS did us a diservice by saying the ONLY thing you need is a CPU of 1ghz or faster because that's just not true. As anyone can see much more is required. Regardless of
the CPU speed, without those instruction set capabilities you will be incompatable.

If anyone would like to answer my question please don't refer me to what Andria did because I've read all of that many times and there are no answers contained there.
