Setting up a local user with out a email address

hey,

• Open Settings
• Accounts
• Select Family and other users from the left
• Add a family Member/someone else to this PC
• You will be prompted to put email address.
• Click on The person I want to add does not have an email address.
• Next a signup screen would open.
• Now click on "Add a user without a microsoft Account"(Local account).

You are done.

Local User login on Win 10

It seems you're asked for email ID and password for your work account. Click on Other users at bottom of screen and then type Your PC Name\Your Local Account Name and its password to login to local account.

Hi I purchased a dell xps15 and set up win10 as a work user. I then proceed to add a local user. I was asked username, password and set up 3 security questions.

However I was unable to login as a local user, as the login screen ask for an email address and password. I was never asked to input an email address in the initial setup of the local user. Can anyone tell me how can I login as a local user?
