    My PC is beeping at me and the cursor vanishes then returns


    My PC is beeping at me, and the cursor vanishes, then returns. It has nothing to do with overheating, it started with the last forced update Microsoft imposed on me, despite my option to stop receiving updates. Now Microsoft is imposing the update without even asking me. Which I take get exception to.

    cursor dissappeared

    Thank you both for your prompt replies, I tried all steps listed, some I had tries previously but I still tried them again, but still no cursor.

    Do you have any other suggestions?

    Windows Security Center Icon vanished

    Version 2004

    Greetings people,

    My Windows Security Centre Icon has vanished. Every time I boot it will appear for half a second then vanish and not return. I've run System File Checker and there are no errors. It's switched on in task bar settings.

    Any suggestions?
