  1. My PC keeps BSOD'ing while playing diablo 4, and I need help figuring out why.

So my PC keeps crashing while playing diablo 4. It has blue screened periodically in the past but not consistently as it is for the past week. Everytime I play Diablo 4 it crashes within 15-25 mins. So far this is the only game that it has crashed on recently. I have been monitoring temps and the highest ive seen is 81 degrees Celsius. Ive ran memory testers and let them run 8 hours and came back with no errors. I checked the event log and Ive got this.Critical Error: The system has rebooted without cleanly shutting down first. This error

  2. BSOD during Diablo 4

After playing Diablo 4 for some time, I get a BSOD that says watchdog violation. No other game or app does this. This is provided by the event viewer: The computer has rebooted from a bugcheck. The bugcheck was: 0x00000133 (0x0000000000000001, 0x0000000000001e00, 0xfffff8067631d340, 0x0000000000000000). A dump was saved in: C:\WINDOWS\MEMORY.DMP. Report Id: 8148d66d-c9d7-4b1e-a060-bfe37805b6e5.

I've uploaded a zip of Memory.dmp here as I didn't know how to upload directly to this forum: WeTransfer - Send Large Files & Share Photos Online - Up to 2GB Free

I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the graphic driver, no change.

    System: Processor 13th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i9-13900K, 3000 Mhz, 24 Core(s), 32 Logical Processor(s), 64GB RAM, NVIDIA RTX4090

Help would be greatly appreciated, many thanks!

  3. MEMORY_MANAGMENT = Diablo 4?

Damn. I have 4 ram sticks.
Gonna be a hard time finding out which one is bad.
Do you think a memtest would work to find out the problem?

Im playing diablo 4 again havent crashed yet tho.

New PC Rebooting When Playing Diablo 4 - Hardware Failure Reported In Windows - Code Below - Need Help!

    Hello Jeff Corbin

    Welcome to Microsoft Community.

A LiveKernelEvent with error code 141 indicates a hardware fault or instability on the computer. This error is usually associated with the GPU (graphics processing unit) or its driver. Given that you are currently on a brand new computer, the software and hardware may not normally be the cause of the problem. You can take the following two steps to troubleshoot and determine the cause of the problem:

    • Check the GPU temperature: overheating can cause instability and crashes. Install a temperature monitoring tool, some GPU manufacturers may have a temperature monitoring tool specific to this, to check GPU temperatures and graphics card storage usage while playing Diablo 4. If your PC does not cause this problem when running low-load software, proceed to the next step of the testing recommendations
    • Test your GPU with other games or benchmark tests: Try running other demanding games or GPU stress tests to see if the problem occurs consistently across applications. If the problem only occurs on Diablo 4, it may be related to the game itself or its specific settings.
Nevertheless, some users have found some problems when running Diablo 4. The current hardware configuration should be able to support this game to run, but during some game scenarios. The frame rate drops severely and the GPU/CPU load percentage is too high, thus causing the game to flicker or the computer to shut down.

Here are some of the core causes of the game: overflowing memory and GPU memory pools

Since Diablo 4's dynamic video memory footprint, the game requires roughly 32G of video memory and RAM at high quality settings. Therefore, as long as the player's combined GPU memory and RAM is greater than 32G, the game will theoretically play smoothly. The more GPU memory you have, the smoother the game will be; the less GPU memory you have, the more likely the game will lag.

Diablo 4 is not optimized for high-end graphics cards, but it is specifically optimized for low quality support (older configurations from a few years ago are capable of a solid 60 fps at lower resolutions). This leads to a poor gaming experience for some players at high quality graphic GPU.

    Solution:

Wait for official optimizations: You can give feedback to Blizzard officials or game developers about high GPU memory usage and frame rate fluctuations, and they may optimize the game in subsequent game updates.

Lower the image quality requirements or screen resolution: Depending on your hardware configuration, lower the game's image quality requirements or screen resolution to reduce the pressure on your graphics card and increase the game's frame rate.

Adjust the DLSS technology or FreeSync setting: In the game picture quality settings, this will depend on your graphics card model for the device, in the case of Nvidia it is the DLSS technology and for AMD it corresponds to the FreeSync setting. You can set it to Quality or Equalisation mode. This improves the efficiency of the game running and reduces the load on the graphics card while maintaining the picture quality.

Hope the above solutions is helpful for you, feel free to let me know if anything unclear.

    Best regards,
