Windows 10: My PC keeps freezing and occasionally crashes with a BSoD. Issues seem to range from WiFi...

I have been trying to narrow down the issue for a while now but am coming up short so I thought I'd get some official help with diagnosing this. I have been monitoring the Performance tab on Task Manager and checking the Event Viewer logs to get this information. I will gladly share screenshots or logs of anything mentioned below in case it is relevant, but to avoid spamming too much info that may not be relevant I will refrain from including too much for now.I will outline my PC's details here:OS Name Microsoft Windows 10 ProVersion 10.0.19045 Build 19045System Manufa

BSOD Freeze/Crash issue


Hi Ztruker, thanks for replying.

The games were freezing and crashing in Windows 8.1, and I could not get to the desktop because of them. In Windows 10, I got my first BSOD after loading up GTA V and taking ten steps, so in this latest case Windows itself is also crashing. Nothing is being reported in Event Viewer other than the pc is not shutting down as it should (after I force a reboot).

Cheat Engine is just a program for altering values in games, which I usually occasionally use for certain indie games. It's not running all the time and to be honest it's very rare when it is. I haven't used it in months and probably won't for another few months again.

No updates were applied just before the crash. I'll try a clean boot and see what happens.

 

Occasional BSOD

Hi i keep getting occasional bsods recently it ranges between 2 to 3 days. I'm using a HP Laptop (HP Notebook - 15-ay104nx)

I suspect its a driver issue.
