Windows 10: My PC keeps prioritizing HDD instead of SSD.

Hello,Few months ago my reading and writing speed was running fine on big games I was using on Steam. When suddenly loading times and games crashed because of my HDD. I later found out that causing the problems was because of my SSD wasnt doing its job. I checked my folders and all games installed into my SSD were for some weird reason running on my HDD, which is a big problem. I checked my BIOS and installed all my SSD files again and it still only runs on my HDD. The only type of life i get from my SSD is some random spikes, and thats all. My HDD keeps running at 100% where as my SSD runs at

use steps you suggested, there should be no problem.

Just replace HDD with SSD first then run installation. Do not forget to remove Windows files from HDD after the end of a process.

I want to use a new SSD to run my OS on my PC. I have a lot of data on my HDD and dont want it on the SSD but do want to keep it.

I have read that you shouldn't use an external drive that has Windows installed so how would i go about doing what I need?

I.e. get Windows onto the SSD, replace HDD with SSD, use HDD as external drive, and keep data from HDD on HDD.

How to Reinstall Windows 10 on my PC's SSD instead of the HDD

PC: Dell OptiPlex 5050 Windows Version: 20H2 (OS Build 19042.631) Hello, I purchased a used PC. It only came with a 500 GB HDD , so I installed and initialized a 500 GB Samsung SSD. For security reasons, I would now like to do a complete wipe of the PC and reinstall Windows 10 onto the SSD instead of the HDD. I am unsure exactly how to do this as this is my first time really attempting something like this. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.
