Windows 10: My PC keeps randomly shutting down only when playing games.

My specs are:Rtx 3070 tiRyzen 5 360016gb ddr4 3600mhz512gb m. 2 ssdB550-a-pro motherboard850w psu Windows 11I get kernal power 41.My PC shuts down only in games, started happening a few months ago and started doing it around once a week but now I can even play for 10 minutes. I have tried two different power supplies and two different graphics cards. I have reset windows. But nothing has worked.

Games keep shutting down unexpectedly and randomly on new PC

I just built a new PC with the following specs:

• CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 7700X 4.5 GHz 8-Core Processor,
  
• CPU Cooler: Thermalright Peerless Assassin 120 SE 66.17 CFM CPU Cooler,
  
• Motherboard: Gigabyte B650 AORUS ELITE AX ATX AM5 Motherboard,
  
• Memory: Kingston FURY Beast 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR5-6000 CL36 Memory,
  
• Storage: Samsung 980 Pro 2 TB M.2-2280 PCIe 4.0 X4 NVME Solid State Drive, and Samsung 870 QVO 4 TB SATA 2.5 Inch Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) (MZ-77Q4T0)
  
• GPU: Gainward Ghost GeForce RTX 4070 12 GB Video Card,
  
• Case: LLian Li LANCOOL 216 ATX Mid Tower Case,

I am playing with the following:

• HDMI cable connector: Ubluker 8k HDMI Cable 33 FT, High Speed HDMI Cable 4k 120Hz 144Hz 8k 60Hz Nylon Braided 4:4:4 12bit ARC eARC DTS:X HDR10+ HDCP2.3 Dolby Atmos Compatible for Gaming PC,
  
• Display: LG OLED48C26LB 48" Smart 4K Ultra HD HDR OLED TV.
  

I am on Windows 11 and the games I am playing include playing Cyberpunk and Fifa 23. I play these games on 4k setting as supported by my devices (medium settings, tried with and without RT and DLSS).

For some reason these games shut down seemingly randomly in the middle of game (from 2 minutes to 30 minutes into playing).

Thus far I have tried the following without success:

• Checked and ran all Windows 11 updates (including optional),
  
• Updated BIOS (while building),
  
• Disabled EXPO in BIOS,
  
• Tried with different HDMI 4k cable,
  
• Tried on 1080p 60hz display with display port cable,
  
• Uninstalled and reinstalled games,
  
• Repaired and reinstalled Windows 11 using ISO,
  
• Tried High Performance Mode both on and off,
  
• Verified integrity of game files on Steam and Epic,
  
• All drivers (including Nvidia through GeFrorce Experience) updated,
  
• Turned off Storage Sense on Windows,
  
  • Comment: I was originally getting notifications from OneDrive that files were deleted everywhere shortly before games shut down. Have now hidden notifications, so don’t know if it’s still doing it – but it shouldn’t based on the following:…
    
• De-linked and stopped OneDrive,
  
• Ran sfc /scannow as admin,
  
• Cleared temp files,
  
• Created a test account with a new local admin,
  

Just a note that I couldn’t perform the following fixes:

- Change Video Performance options, add exceptions for Turn on DEP for Cyberpunk and Fifa 23 (exe) wasn’t allowed by the system,

- No point in doing a system restore as the problem has gone on since I built the PC,

To be clear, I run games with NVIDIA’s overlay and can see that GPU temps hover around 50-60c and do not exceed 67c. FPS vary greatly obviously depending on settings, but even on Cyberpunk ultra settings rarely drop much below 40.

Do you know why this might be happening?
