Windows 10: My PC keeps randomly underclocking after I updated to Windows 11

Specifically a Lenovo IdeaPad S145-IWL with an Intel Core i7-8565U @ 1.80GHz. I've had it since 2021 and recently, I upgraded to Windows 11. However, after some time turned on, it randomly underclocks to 0.39GHz even on idle it usually runs at 1.7-4GHz and makes everything super slow, some times even crashing and forcing me to fully shutdown the computer. I'm pointing out the Windows 11 part because I couldn't find any other reason why it's doing this, seeing how it worked fine on Windows 10 and there's nothing wrong, the vent is clean, the thermal paste is good I changed it this year, the

Windows 11 shutdown box keeps popping up randomly.

Windows 11 shutdown box keeps popping up randomly Just updated to Windows 11 from windows 10, and when I am just using it in light tasks, e.g. typing document, browsing web, this shutdown window keeps popping up randomly every few minutes. I am running on a desktop PC Dell optiplex 3080, core i5 so there is no power or battery issue. Any suggestions?

 

Windows Update keeps failing!

Hi,

I had once a similar issue like yours, i.e. not able to update Windows 7. What I did to solve the problems is:

- go to control panel, then to "Troubleshouting" > "System and Security" > "Fix problems with Windows update" > click "Advanced" > choose "Apply repairs automatically".

And Windows will start detecting the issues and will repair "Windows update components". The problems should be fixed now, close the program, restart the PC, and see if the mentioned steps have fixed the problems you mentioned.

Underclocking processor

Hiiiii....i have upgrade my pc from windows 1803 to 1809 but now my processor get underclocked from 2.5Ghz to 1.1Ghz..

When i boot my pc to safe mode then it run normally with its full clock speed but in normal mode it get underclock again.

So guys please help me to fix this
