Windows 10: My PC refuses to install anything other than Windows 10 Pro when I have a Windows 10 Home...

So I'm aware that this has likely been posed time and time again.


I have already attempted to make a clean installation after creating installation media. Still installs Windows 10 Pro.

I even did a complete wipe of my PC and then tried an install from scratch. It defaults to Windows 10 Pro.


I bought Windows 10 Home a while ago at this point and I can't access all of the settings I should because I inexplicably have Windows 10 Pro. I have never tried to install Windows 10 Pro or even wanted to.


I really need the assistance here as I've essentially wasted 6 hours of today installing, reinstalling, wiping and then re-reinstalling only for me to be in the exact same position I was in when I started.

Installing Windows 10 on New PC?

I'm going to be building a new PC on Christmas and want to install Windows 10 on it. I have Windows 10 on my current PC, which I installed upgrading from 8.1 with the files on a USB. How do I go about installing a clean copy of Windows 10 on this new PC? I think I recall something about installing it once makes Microsoft recognize your hardware, but since this will be a PC I'm not sure what steps I need to take. Do I need to go 8.1 -> 10 or is there a method of going directly to 10?

Clean Windows 10 (?PRO?) install

I have bought a legit "Windows 10 Pro" key of a key website. It is legit since i'm currently using it for over a year now. I currently have Windows 10 Pro installed on my PC and I want to do a clean install. I just can't find the windows 10 Pro download in the tool. But if i could use a windows 10 pro key with a normal windows 10 install, I'll be good to go.
