Windows 10: My PC shutdowns after EXACTLY 30 minutes

Hi, so recently I have been having problems with my PC. Last week I had it repaired, and I turned it on, updating drivers and stuff. At first, it was working perfectly fine, but yesterday I forgot to update my GPU drivers so I upgraded and after 30 minutes or so it shut down completely but the mobo LED was still on and I had to press the power button to turn it on again. I have triedisable Auto-restartDisable C-stateDisable Fast boostReseating the RAMCleaning the PSU and FansI have tried the SFC scan but Windows said that there weren't any broken filesChanged the bios my mobo has multi-bi

Asus X552CL laptop boots up but powers down after exactly 30 minutes every time

I'll give that a try.

Do you think there will be time to do that in 30 minutes or might the installation interrupt whatever is causing the 30 minute shutdown giving it time to complete the operation?

My pc takes for ever to shut down when i restart

Suggest cleaning up your startup list .There may be many services / Apps you can remove on startup which is not needed on boot or during shutdown.
Before you shutdown the Pc check what is running in Task Manager as a program or service in not killing the process on shutdown

Would suggest cleaning up running apps and services -Autoruns, StartupMonitor,HighjackThis,
Malware Scan - Malwarebytes,ADWcleaner, Combofix

 

PC freezes (No BSOD) after ~ 30 minutes into a game (Witcher 3)

Good afternoon,

I am having an issue where my PC freezes about 30 minutes into playing games. Please see my system specs below:

Windows 10

Intel i7 4770k (NO OC)

MSI Z87-G45 Gaming motherboard

Powercolor R9 290x (NO OC)

16GB RAM (4 sticks X 4 GB)

600W PSU (Corsair)

The shutdown did NOT create a minidump or full dump. I have Kernal Dumps enabled. The temperature of the CPU at shutdown was ~ 55C and the GPU was at a sustained 80C.

Please let me know if you have a suggestion to solve this issue. I don't know where to go from here if my PC does not generate minidumps/memory dumps.
